This course will offer an in depth lecture and discussion to be used as a precursor to range use for beginners. The skills learned in this class will prepare students for taking a private lesson, training session, or starter package from a certified instructor in the future. Although there is no range time included in this course, participants will gather information about range and gun safety, accuracy, and firearm handling, using real life demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Participants will be able to:
	
	
Understand basic rules of safety by NRA and Elite Indoor Gun Range
	
	
	
Handle firearms safely following guidelines put in place by the NRA and Elite Indoor Gun Range
	
	
	
Handle a firearm without going live in the range in order to gain understanding
	
	
	
Make decisions for their own shooting experience including gun recommendations, blue card information, conceal carry information, and more
	
	
	
Understand sight alignment, stance, grip and hand placement, and basic gun functions 
	
	
	
Use rubber training guns in classroom
	
	
	
Use simulator for range examples
